Job summary

Merlin Labs is seeking a Development Assurance leader to advance ARP4754B-compliant processes across autonomy programs. You will mentor teams, define robust requirements, and standardize audits to ensure certification readiness from prototype through production.

The role requires deep DO-178C/DO-254 experience and collaboration with Systems Engineering. Based in the United States, you will report to the VP of Airworthiness & Certification within the Process Assurance organization.

Qualifications

• Experience applying ARP4754A/B and ARP4761/A in certification projects.
• Strong audit, writing, and mentoring skills for process topics.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assess ARP4754B gaps and drive improvements.
• Refine and maintain Development Assurance docs for ARP4754B.
• Partner with Systems Engineering to mature requirements across prototypes to production.
• Define a common requirements database across software versions.
• Cross-train in DO-178C/DO-254 compliance for broader scope.
• Lead audits ensuring adherence to Development Assurance processes.
