Job summary

Garmin seeks a full-time Team Leader Software Engineering to lead the DevEx team at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

You will direct a software engineering team responsible for developer build tools, shared test infrastructure, telemetry, and software health measurement. You will define the vision and roadmap for development tooling, partner with Garmin engineering organizations to improve efficiency and quality, drive automation, standardization, and software quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years relevant experience or 10+ years experience
• Detailed knowledge of C, C++, C# and/or Java relevant to Garmin’s business needs
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver
• Previous leadership or mentorship experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team responsible for developer build tools, shared test infrastructure, telemetry, and software health measurement
• Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for development tooling and engineering enablement across Garmin
• Partner with engineering organizations across Garmin to identify opportunities to improve software development efficiency, product quality, and engineering effectiveness
• Drive company-wide initiatives focused on automation, standardization, developer productivity, and software quality improvement
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate team members
