Job summary

Garmin Ltd. is seeking a full-time Team Leader Software Engineering to lead the Developer Experience (DevEx) team near Garmin’s U.S. headquarters in the Kansas City area.

This role directs a team responsible for tools, infrastructure, and telemetry enabling Garmin engineers to build and deliver high-quality software efficiently. You will define vision and roadmaps for development tooling, drive automation initiatives, and collaborate with multiple Garmin engineering groups to boost productivity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/CE/Software Eng OR 10+ years relevant experience.
• Proficient in C, C++, C#, and/or Java for Garmin’s needs.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Previous leadership or mentorship experience.
• Proven ability to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team responsible for developer build tools, shared test infrastructure, software telemetry, and software health measurement.
• Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for development tooling and engineering enablement across Garmin.
• Partner with engineering organizations to improve software development efficiency and product quality.
• Drive automation, standardization, developer productivity, and software quality improvement.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate team members.
