Job summary

Datadog, Inc. is seeking a Manager II on the Advocacy team to lead Community Advocacy, including Datadog Ambassadors, Champions, and User Groups.

You will manage Developer Advocates and shape programs that turn practitioner experiences into credible content and conference talks for Datadog and external channels. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Events, Customer Success, and regional teams, aligning priorities and scaling participation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading developer advocacy or developer relations programs.
• Proven ability to translate goals into measurable programs.
• Experience coaching speakers and developing technically credible talks and content.
• Former software developer or technical practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Developer Advocates, guiding priorities and coaching performance.
• Own the strategy, goals, and roadmap for Community Advocacy and measure outcomes.
• Guide Ambassador, Champion, and User Group programs with clear contributor journeys.
• Build repeatable systems for customer engineers to contribute knowledge, content, and talks.
• Develop a strong pipeline of customer stories and authentic narratives.
• Oversee conference talks from idea to delivery for Datadog events and third-party conferences.
• Define success metrics for Community Advocacy and monitor program health and impact.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Events, Customer Success, and regional teams to scale participation.
• Share insights from ambassadors and participants with internal teams.
• Balance strategic leadership with hands-on coaching and content review.
