GEO Group is seeking a Transportation Officer supervisor to lead a detainee transport team and ensure vehicles comply with all policies and regulations. You will interview applicants, manage daily operations, and coordinate maintenance and safety incidents with the guidance of DOT rules.

The role requires relevant CDL and defensive training, proven supervisory experience, and the ability to work with diverse personnel in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in detainee transportation.
• CDL Class B or C with P endorsement within 6 months.
• 80 hours certified driver’s training under DOT within 6 months.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record for past 3 years.
• Must pass DOT drug/alcohol test and complete required training.
• Must complete DOT training and obtain necessary certifications.
• Proficiency with computers and scheduling/reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team transporting detainees to various locations.
• Ensure vehicles meet policies and are maintained per laws.
• Interview applicants for Transportation Officer roles.
• Lead daily operations and scheduling based on facility needs.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and inspections; schedule service.
• Maintain Safe Stat references for vehicles/drivers.
• Investigate accidents and report to safety committee.
• Attend minimum 8 hours yearly of regulatory training.
