Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Team Lead - Desktop Engineer in San Francisco, CA to provide technical and operational support for traders and front-office users, ensuring high availability of trading applications and market data platforms.

The role requires 4–8 years in Trader Support or related Financial Services IT, with strong Windows/Mac support, ITSM experience, and familiarity with Bloomberg or Refinitiv terminals. Onsite/remote support in a fast-paced environment will be necessary.

Qualifications

4-8 years in Trader Support, Front Office Support or Financial Services IT Support.
Experience supporting Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management, or Brokerage environments.
Strong Windows and Mac device support and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).
Knowledge of Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft 365, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS).

Responsibilities

Provide technical and operational support to traders and front-office users to ensure high availability of trading apps, market data platforms and trading floor infrastructure.
Support trading and market data platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters, Fidessa and OMS/EMS applications.
Troubleshoot issues related to trading applications, market data feeds, desktops, laptops and multi-monitor workstations.
Provide onsite and remote support to traders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM tools ensuring SLA compliance.
Coordinate with application, network, infrastructure and vendor teams for issue resolution.
Perform software installations, upgrades, user access management and hardware deployments.
Maintain documentation and follow ITIL-based support processes.
Experience supporting Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Eikon, Reuters and trading floor technologies.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
