Miller Industries is seeking a Design Engineering Supervisor in Michigan to lead the design and development of modular enclosure systems, overseeing structural and sheet metal design, fabrication and welding considerations, and assembly integration.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical design expertise with leadership to guide internal teams and external partners from concept through production, ensuring high-quality, standards-compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding methods and assembly techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical designers focusing on structural design, sheet metal components, fabrication and welding processes, and module enclosure assembly.
• Translate requirements into detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Review and approve drawings, models, and documentation for manufacturability and quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and project management to ensure project success.
• Coordinate with third-party design contractors to align with scope, timelines and quality expectations.
• Provide guidance on fabrication methods, welding practices and assembly processes.
