Job summary

Goken, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, seeks an experienced engineer to support quick concept design in CATIA 3DX for interior lighting. You will lead and participate in large scale product development, perform 3D modeling, layout reviews, and BOM creation.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years in Mechanical/Automotive domains, CATIA V5/V6 experience, and strong knowledge of DFM. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in mechanical/product development.
• 5+ years of experience using 3-D modeling tools - CATIA V5/V6.
• 2+ years of parametric modeling in CATIA V6 is a must.
• 5+ years of experience in Interior or Exterior Lighting.
• Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Create part specification requirements and BOM.
• Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
• Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs
• Travel to client sites required.
