Job summary

Rebo Lighting & Electronics, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a CAD focus to design interior and exterior lighting products. You will create 2D/3D data for injection-molded parts using CATIA V5, lead DFMEA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across programs. Proficiency in TeamCenter and 3DX is expected.

Hybrid work arrangement available, with travel as needed. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, 5+ years in automotive lighting product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related; experience considered with assoc degree.
• 5+ years in automotive product engineering in interior/exterior lighting.
• 5+ years creating 2D/3D data for injection molded parts using CATIA V5.
• Ability to read CAE reports (FEA, optical, mold flow, thermal).
• Leads DFMEA development and discussions.
• Knowledge of Catia design data, electronics, APQP, DFM.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support for lighting and electronics products that are manufacturable and compliant.
• Collaborate with engineers and customers in product development lifecycle.
• Lead DFMEA discussions and mitigation planning.
• Support tooling/testing at suppliers and Rebo sites.
• Prepare presentations for customers and management.
• Participate in design reviews and adhere to standards.
• Use 2D/3D tools to design injection-molded parts and lighting products.
• Utilize TeamCenter and 3DX for data download/upload/release to OEMs.
