Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) in North Charleston, SC seeks a Payloads Design Engineer (Associate) for a contract assignment. You will manage interior payload systems and support the full product lifecycle from configuration to production and certification.

Responsibilities include defining system requirements, validating designs, coordinating with suppliers, and contributing to process improvements while leveraging 3-D modeling tools. On-site role with potential future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years related work experience for Level 4; 2+ years for Level 2/3 as applicable.
• Experience with 3-D modeling and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Understanding of FAA Part 25 or EASA requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document interior payload system requirements and design.
• Support tests to verify systems meet requirements and specs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and production teams to optimize design.
• Assist on design/analysis processes and tool development.
