Job summary

Mercor in New York is seeking an experienced architect/coordination lead to produce and coordinate permit sets. You will review RFIs, conduct cross-sheet coordination, and ensure QC across drawings. The role requires licensing or equivalent seniority and US jurisdiction experience. You will mentor job captains and support design reviews through the RFI process.

The position offers hourly pay in a scaled range, with room to grow as the project scales.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect or 8+ years as project architect producing permit sets.
• 3+ years in the seat, US-based, working in US model code jurisdictions.
• Ability to mark up drawing sets and details; familiarity with cross-discipline reviews.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to RFIs for architectural coordination.
• Perform architectural set QC checks and cross-sheet coordination reviews.
• Conduct technical peer reviews and constructability assessment.
• Manage redline back-checks, design change approvals and addendum scoping.
• Oversee as-built drawing production and shop drawing reviews for interiors and envelope.
