QualDerm Partners is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise day-to-day operations of the medical assistant team, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Prepare patients for examination by recording medical history and taking vital signs.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are ready and available.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring effective office communication.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medication administration, and effective skincare practices.
- Perform clinical quality assurance checks to uphold the highest standards of care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in dermatology.
- Leadership experience or supervisory skills are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology and dermatological procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software applications.
