Qualifications

QualDerm Partners is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities

  1. Lead and supervise day-to-day operations of the medical assistant team, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  2. Prepare patients for examination by recording medical history and taking vital signs.
  3. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are ready and available.
  4. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  6. Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring effective office communication.
  7. Educate patients on treatment plans, medication administration, and effective skincare practices.
  8. Perform clinical quality assurance checks to uphold the highest standards of care.

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in dermatology.
  3. Leadership experience or supervisory skills are strongly preferred.
  4. Deep understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology and dermatological procedures.
  5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  7. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  8. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software applications.
