GENERAL SUMMARY:

Oversees the daily functioning of an outpatient clinic to ensure efficient operation. Provides for effective scheduling of patient appointments; controls medical and office supplies; and ensures continuity of care through proper scheduling of responsible personnel.

SHIFT DETAILS:

• Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Tuesday and Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

LOCATION:

400 Hinckley Blvd Ste 100 Jackson, MI 49203

STATUS:

Full Time, 40 hours per week

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program or graduate of a formal medical assistant program with a minimum of five years of continuous clinical experience, including a completed externship.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care.
• Basic computer skills and keyboarding proficiency.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Medical Group pharmacology class and test.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current BLS-C certificate.
• One of the following certifications is required: CMA (eligible for AAMA certification), RMA (AMT), CCMA, NHA certification, or NCMA. Failure to retain certification will result in termination.
