Job summary

Marketplace Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking a capable leader to train and oversee the dental assistant team. You will coach staff, manage patient flow to optimize the patient experience, and ensure adherence to state-sanctioned dental procedures and infection control standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, team leadership, and confidentiality, with responsibilities spanning training, scheduling, and maintaining supplies to support the dentist's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with state-mandated certification/licensure requirements (e.g., coronal polish, x-ray exposure).
• Associate degree or 1-year certificate from accredited college/technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret business documents, journals, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
• Ability to direct work of others and lead a team toward goals.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee records and compensation information.
• Ensure adherence to Company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach all other dental assistants to perform at their best.
• Manage patient flow to maximize patient experience and daily efficiency for the dentist.
• Perform duties according to applicable state Dental allowable functions.
• Develop the dental assistant team through learning plans and expanding clinical knowledge.
• Integrate specialty dental assistants into the team effectively.
• Manage infection control, sterilization, and disinfection per CDC guidelines.
• Maintain general and specialty clinical supplies within budget; educate on maintenance procedures.
