Job summary

Cascadia Off-Duty is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to support a Pediatric Dentist and hygienists in providing care to children, including those with special needs. The role involves seating patients, taking X‑rays, documenting notes, and explaining treatments to parents in a fast-paced practice.

The candidate should be a team player with a great personality, comfortable with digital imaging and charting, and capable of leading supplies management and back‑office organization.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check.
• X-ray Certification (willing to train).
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Pediatric and special needs experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seat patients, take X‑rays, and record clinical notes.
• Explain treatment to parents and maintain digital imaging/charting.
• Clean instruments and manage back‑office organization.

Job description

End your workday by 4 pm or earlier every day! Looking for a Lead Dental Assistant to work with our Pediatric Dentist and assist our hygienists with our pediatric and special needs patients.

We seek a candidate with a great personality who loves working with children of all ages and needs, as well as their parents. The candidate must be a team player. Our practice is fast‑paced, with patients seen every half hour. They will support the dentist and the rest of the clinical staff and take the initiative when needed.

Responsibilities include seating patients, taking X‑rays, taking clinical notes, explaining treatment to parents, cleaning instruments, and performing other duties as assigned. Must be comfortable with digital imaging, digital charting, and using electronic medical or dental charting. They will lead management of office dental supplies and back‑office organization.

Hours: Monday 7:30‑2, Tuesday and Thursday 7:30‑4, Wednesday 10‑4 and Friday 7:30‑2 (up to twice a month). Summer closing time is 3 pm.
