Friendly Dental Group in Durham, NC is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant (DAII) to join a private practice. You will lead clinical team workflow, assist chairside, take digital x-rays, and maintain patient records with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes patient care, staff training, and overseeing daily operations in a collaborative environment. Excellent communication and organization are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental assistant.
• Valid CPR/BLS Certification.
• Qualified to expose X-rays in NC.
• Coronal Polishing certification preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside during dental procedures.
• Lead and support clinical team workflow throughout the day.
• Take and process digital x-rays.
• Maintain accurate patient charting and clinical records.
• Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring proper room turnover.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Monitor and help manage dental supplies and inventory.
• Assist with training and supporting team members as needed.
• Help ensure smooth daily office operations and patient flow.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering dental supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
