Friendly Dental Group in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant (DAII) to join our private practice, focusing on leadership, chairside support, and efficient patient flow within a supportive clinical team.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years as a dental assistant, valid CPR/BLS, NC x-ray certification, and strong communication skills. Compensation ranges $23–$28 per hour, with benefits including health, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental assistant.
• Valid CPR/BLS Certification.
• Qualified to expose x-rays in NC.
• Coronal Polishing certification preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting chairside during dental procedures.
• Lead and support clinical team workflow throughout the day.
• Take and process digital x-rays.
• Maintain accurate patient charting and clinical records.
• Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring proper room turnover.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Monitor and help manage dental supplies and inventory.
• Assist with training and supporting team members as needed.
• Help ensure smooth daily office operations and patient flow.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering dental supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
