adidas in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead a team of up to 50 hourly associates, optimizing labor and driving performance in a fast-paced distribution center. You will guide daily work, coach staff, and ensure safety and quality in all tasks.

You will use RF Guns, Kiosks, and the WMS/LM modules to log activities, enforce SOPs, and share best practices. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential; overtime/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize RF Guns and kiosks to update transactions in the WMS and LM module.
  • Follow SOPs and train/coach associates to meet goals and service levels.
  • Mentor teammates for career growth and share best practices.

  • Maintain a safe, orderly work environment and report safety concerns.
  • Participate in Lean Six Sigma activities and related initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for improved material flow and performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Purpose: Supports the operations leadership team by contributing to labor allocation, leading meetings, assigning job duties, coaching for success, creating a safe & collaborative work environment, and driving process improvement. The role will be very technical and require strong problem-solving skills. Leads will work closely with department supervisors to monitor work flows, manage dwells, and drive overall shift performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Operation Supervisor to lead a team of up to 50 hourly associates
  • Utilize warehouse tools, including radio frequency hand held units (“RF Guns”) and computer kiosks, to update transactions within the warehouse management system (WMS) and log activities in the Labor Management (LM) module
  • Understand and act as a role model in following all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Train and coach associates to achieve all operational goals and service levels
  • Mentor and develop teammates to perform better in their current roles while preparing them for future career opportunities
  • Ability to develop and share best practices
  • Help to foster a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly working environment
  • Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
  • Participate in Lean Six Sigma activities

Essential Functions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

  • work in a warehouse environment with noise, dust and varying temperatures
  • regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to twelve (12) hours/day
  • occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
  • occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
  • work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)
  • able to reliably attend work/scheduled hours
