Boutique Recruiting seeks an experienced Davenport Machinist in Marion, NC to oversee setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and production for roughly 12 Davenport screw machines. You will guide a small team and work alongside an experienced lead before taking full department responsibility.

The ideal candidate demonstrates extensive Davenport setup expertise, strong mechanical troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently to sustain high-quality, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Davenport screw machine setup and operation experience.
• Approximately 10 years machining experience with Davenport expertise.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
• Ability to set up machines independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven focus on precision machining, quality, and equipment performance.
• Experience guiding and supporting machine operators.
• Willingness to work onsite in a non climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain about 12 Davenport screw machines to ensure reliable production.
• Perform machine adjustments and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Oversee daily production and maintain quality, efficiency, and output.
• Lead and train a team of 3–4 Davenport machine operators.
• Coordinate production schedules with plant management to meet demand.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with minimal supervision.
• Monitor performance and adjust for productivity and consistency.
• Maintain quality standards when machining copper components.
• Collaborate with current department lead during transition to ensure continuity.
• Promote safe work practices and an organized production environment.
