TrustEngine is hiring a Lead Database & Data Platform Engineer to own the database estate end-to-end, including assessment, upgrades, and setting long-term direction. You will manage two stacks: SQL Server on Windows EC2/on-prem and MySQL on AWS S3, with a focus on reliability and governance.

The role sits on the Platform team as the senior technical authority on data, with time-critical upgrade work and long-term estate maturation. Remote-friendly, with strong cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production database ownership with SQL Server and MySQL.
• Experience upgrading SQL Server versions and migrations across on-premises or EC2.

Responsibilities

• Own the database estate end-to-end and set standards.
• Perform time-critical OS and SQL Server upgrades.
• Administer Windows Server, EC2, and on-premises environments.
• Manage SQL Server availability groups and failover clustering.
• Administer MySQL and AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM).
• Collaborate with data engineering for data governance and schema design.
