Job summary

TrustEngine is seeking a Senior DBA to own the entire database and data estate end to end. You will assess the current setup, perform a time-critical OS upgrade, and establish long-term standards that support customers, auditors, and our insurer.

You will manage two stacks—SQL Server on Windows EC2/on‑premise and MySQL on AWS RDS—driving reliability, security, and scale for engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in database administration and ownership.
• End-to-end ownership of a production database estate with measurable improvements.
• Experience setting data standards and reviewing schema and data-access design.

Responsibilities

• Deep and current Microsoft SQL Server administration as core responsibility.
• Lead full SQL Server installation and configuration on Windows Server EC2 or on-premise.
• Manage Windows Server upgrades and migrations.
• Implement SQL Server high availability (Always On, failover clustering).
• Administer MySQL and AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Apply AI tools to day-to-day tasks and drive data governance.
• Own end-to-end data estate improvements across two stacks.
