Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Lead Analyst, Data Stewardship to scale our enterprise data stewardship program from the Data Office. You will establish ownership, governance processes, and tools enabling partners to confidently use data; collaborate across business and technology teams to embed stewardship into daily work and drive data quality outcomes.

You will define roles, train stewards, measure adoption, and coordinate domain rollouts to strengthen accountability and data-driven decision making

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success supporting or operationalizing enterprise data governance, data stewardship, metadata management, or data quality programs.
• Proven ability to establish data ownership, stewardship roles, decision rights, and issue-management processes.
• Track record of partnering across business and technology teams to implement governance capabilities.
• Skilled in creating training, communications, and communities of practice that support adoption and a data-forward culture.
• Familiarity with data catalog, metadata, data quality, or governance platforms, such as Collibra, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the data stewardship operating model with governance processes and clear accountability.
• Establish accountable data ownership by onboarding Data Owners and Data Stewards.
• Build stewardship capability via training, office hours, and communities of practice.
• Drive data-quality accountability with scorecards and escalation paths.
• Measure adoption and effectiveness with ownership coverage and participation metrics.
• Coordinate governance decisions and domain rollout across priority data domains.
