Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking a Sr/lead Decision Scientist to power data‑driven decision making on the data democratization team. You will translate complex business problems into actionable analytics to improve store performance, partner experience, and supply chain outcomes.

Work with cross‑functional partners using Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, and MicroStrategy, build dashboards, and apply Python, SQL for data prep.

Qualifications

• Experience translating complex business problems into actionable analytics.
• Strong storytelling skills with executive presence and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern BI tools; familiarity with AI/ML concepts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define problem statements, success metrics, and decision frameworks.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
• Guide stakeholders through trade-offs, risks, and implications of data-driven recommendations.
• Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, influencing decisions at multiple levels.
