Job summary

Lincoln Financial in Greensboro, NC seeks a Lead Data Steward to drive data governance and quality for the Life business. You will partner with business and IT teams to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and aligned with enterprise standards, while advancing data-driven solutions across agile teams.

You will lead data stewardship across architecture, lineage, quality frameworks, and reporting, and help build AI-ready data capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s).
• 5 - 7+ Years of experience in business analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
• Strong SQL skills with applied usage across various platforms
• Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management
• Strong project management skills coordinating multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment
• Strong relationship management skills with internal clients across levels
• Demonstrates understanding of cloud services and concepts

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis efforts supporting the Life production environment and resolve data discrepancies.
• Define requirements, use cases, and outcomes while aligning with data strategy and governance.
• Drive data delivery strategy across agile teams and contribute to data roadmaps.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet governance standards and business needs.
• Lead data stewardship activities around architecture, lineage, and data quality.
• Support development of AI-ready data capabilities by identifying gaps and priorities.
• Champion continuous improvement of data processes and reporting capabilities.
• Act as trusted advisor to business partners, analysts, and project teams.
