Job summary

Cotality is hiring a Lead Data Scientist in the United States to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced predictive models for major financial institutions. You will guide the technical strategy of core data products and lead a team of talented data scientists.

You will collaborate with product and leadership to translate complex business needs into robust analytical solutions, uphold model governance, and advance a new data platform with scalable pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial data science experience with ML models.
• Expert-level modelling with ensemble methods (Gradient Boosted Trees, Random Forest).
• Strong Python (Pandas, Scikit-Learn) and SQL skills.
• Experience handling large, complex datasets; geospatial data is a plus.
• Proven technical leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent communication to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced predictive models.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to fellow data scientists.
• Own the end-to-end model lifecycle from R&D to production deployment.
• Partner with Product, Sales, and Leadership to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Champion best practices in model development, validation, and maintenance.
