Progressive Leasing is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of decision systems and predictive models that drive business impact. This is a remote role that can be performed anywhere in the continental US or from our Utah corporate office.

You will turn rigorous analysis into measurable outcomes, mentor teammates, and help set technical direction while expanding data-driven products in fintech.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data science experience.
• Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience deploying models to production.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end.
• Bonus: DevOps or Git experience.
• Bonus: Agentic AI knowledge and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, and maintenance of decision systems and predictive models.
• Explore new data sources to improve model performance.
• Design and read in-market experiments testing new algorithms.
• Prototype solutions to ambiguous business problems using cutting-edge technologies.
• Communicate findings to senior stakeholders and drive decisions.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
• Drive strategic analytics initiatives across the business.
