Job summary

Huntington National Bank's AI Center of Excellence seeks a Lead Data Scientist with deep expertise in ML, NLP, and AI to design, develop, and deploy models that accelerate innovation and inform strategic decisions across the enterprise.

You will lead end-to-end AI projects, collaborate with product owners, apply automation, stay current with LLMs and AWS Bedrock, and mentor teams while driving scalable, reusable AI assets.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience using statistics and machine learning to solve complex business problems, with experience deploying predictive models and scalable data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owner to manage end-to-end AI development lifecycle across on‑premises and AWS environments.
• Demonstrate professional ownership, maintain transparent communication with leadership, surface risks and blockers to ensure timely delivery.
• Apply automation to streamline manual processes and develop reusable, self‑service tools.
• Stay current with emerging ML, cloud, and AI technologies and integrate them into workflows and products.
