Huntington Bancshares, Inc. seeks a Lead Data Scientist for its AI Center of Excellence to design, develop, and deploy models that accelerate innovation and strategic decision making.

You will work across on‑prem and AWS environments, drive end‑to‑end AI projects, and stay ahead of evolving ML/AI technologies in a dynamic enterprise setting. The role requires advanced degrees and substantial experience in ML, NLP, and LLMs, with strong Python and LangChain expertise, and a focus on scalable data

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience applying statistics and ML to solve business problems.
• PhD in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Python or R, Spark, and data science tools.
• Experience with LLMs, LangChain, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS AI/ML services such as Bedrock, JumpStart, Textract.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owner to manage end-to-end AI lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Lead development across on-premises and AWS environments with governance and risk reviews.
• Apply automation to streamline processes and build reusable self-service tools.
• Stay current with AI/ML technologies and drive innovation in workflows.
