Job summary

Responsibilities include lifecycle drive, risk governance, and production deployments, with a focus on automation, scalability, and staying current with ML, cloud, and AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics, or related field.
• 5+ years applying statistics and machine learning to solve business problems.

Huntington Bank is building AI capabilities through its AI Center of Excellence, bringing modern machine learning from prototype to production across both on-premises and AWS. In this onsite role in Columbus, OH, you will lead end-to-end AI lifecycle work while partnering closely with Product to deliver scalable, automated AI/ML solutions.

What you’ll work on

• Partner with the Product Owner to drive the full AI development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data sourcing, model development, proof-of-concept demonstrations, risk governance reviews, and production deployment.
• Deliver outcomes across on-premises and AWS environments, ensuring work progresses from experimentation to reliable deployment.
• Maintain strong project ownership through clear communication with leadership, proactive identification of risks and blockers, and escalation for managerial guidance when needed to support timely delivery.
• Use automation techniques to reduce manual effort, improve productivity and accuracy, and build reusable, scalable self-service tools and assets.
• Stay current on emerging machine learning, cloud, and AI technologies, evaluating new capabilities and integrating them into existing workflows and products.

Required qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience applying statistics and machine learning to solve complex business problems.
• Experience conducting statistical analysis using advanced statistical software and working knowledge of scripting languages and packages.
• Experience with big data analysis tools and techniques, including building and deploying predictive models, web scraping, and scalable data pipelines.

Technologies you’ll use

You’ll work with a modern AI stack, including Python, R, Spark, and AWS, as well as LLM and RAG tooling such as Llama, Claude, Titan, LangChain, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering. The role also involves methods like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with MMR, multi-vector retrieval, RAG-fusion, HYDE, and self-RAG, along with retrieval evaluation frameworks. You will also support Agentic AI capabilities, including task orchestration, multi-agent collaboration, and tool-use agents, using AWS services such as Bedrock, JumpStart, and Textract.
