Job summary

Hilton is building out its Strategy, Insights, and Analytics group in McLean, VA. The Lead Data Scientist will drive end-to-end ML models, from research to production, partnering with engineering and business teams to enable data-driven decisions.

You will work on forecasting, pricing, inventory optimization, and personalized experiences, using modern ML frameworks and cloud infrastructure. This role emphasizes autonomous delivery and ongoing learning in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional experience developing and deploying machine learning or data science solutions.
• Two (2) years of professional experience researching, building, implementing, testing, and measuring performance of data science models in production.
• Experience writing production quality software.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, code review and containerized applications.
• Proficient in SQL and Python with data science packages (Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Prophet, LightGBM, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of experience building and deploying ML/data science solutions.
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and familiarity with LLMs/generative AI.
• Hospitality industry familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the research, documentation, development, and measurement of data science models in testing and production.
• Communicate with stakeholders to drive data-driven roadmap decisions.
• Design and implement enterprise-scale data science applications based on data insights and trends.
• Write production-grade code and maintain ML workflows.
• Stay current with technical advancements to propose innovative data science solutions.
• Operate with autonomy and proactive collaboration with stakeholders.
