Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Architect to shape the target-state architecture across multiple domains within Payments Technology. You will govern architectural governance, guide senior technical teams, and drive AI-enabled, secure, scalable solutions for financial services platforms.

You will influence technology direction, deliver data-centric architectures, and advance enterprise-grade patterns while balancing resiliency, security, and auditability across product families.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• 6+ years hands-on experience delivering data architecture and reporting and analytics with cloud-native experience.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages and deep expertise in software architecture and processes.
• Experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting security/auditability needs.
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight.
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select the best future-state solutions.

Responsibilities

• Represent a product family in technical governance bodies and propose improvements to architecture governance practices
• Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis and decisioning across the product family, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data
• Guide evaluation of current and new technologies using existing standards and frameworks, influencing peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge solutions where appropriate
• Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks and practices
• Establish reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across software development lifecycle and toolchain practices, ensuring traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security controls
