Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Plano seeks a Senior Lead Architect in the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology group to shape the target state architecture and deliver high-quality solutions across software applications and platform products.

You will represent the product family in governance bodies, guide business and technical teams, and leverage enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate architecture decisions with human-in-the-loop validation and strict handling of sensitive data.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of applied experience in architecture concepts.
  • 6+ years delivering data architecture, reporting & analytics with cloud-native experience.
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages and deep expertise in software architecture and related disciplines.
  • Experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within architecture/engineering workflows with data sensitivity awareness.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures with resiliency, security, and auditability.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank(Payments Technology), you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platform products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

Job Responsibilities
  • Represent a product family in technical governance bodies and propose improvements to architecture governance practices
  • Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis and decisioning across the product family, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data
  • Guide evaluation of current and new technologies using existing standards and frameworks, influencing peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge solutions where appropriate
  • Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks and practices
  • Establish reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across software development lifecycle and toolchain practices, ensuring traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security controls
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • 6+ years hands-on practical experience delivering data architecture and reporting and analytics solutions with practical cloud-native experience
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages and deep expertise in software architecture, applications, and technical processes within one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)
  • Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
  • Strong judgment and communication skills to influence technical direction across teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with domain modeling, understanding business process flows, client experience, and use cases
  • Ability to partner with business teams to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions with a client experience focus
  • Proven experience designing solutions for data, reporting and analytics based on client needs, API, and data integration architecture
  • Experience defining data standards, governance, and best practices in compliance with regional and controls needs, including data retention policies that adhere to regional standards
  • Experience developing data warehouse and data lake architecture ensuring data quality and data management processes
