Job summary

Wellington Management in Needham/Boston seeks a Lead Software Engineer to join the Portfolio Data Technology team, focusing on proprietary performance measurement, attribution, and GIPS composites. You will contribute to a new multi-asset attribution platform and enhance existing applications, delivering scalable software and collaborating across blended business and technology teams.

The role requires a strong track record in delivering high-quality software, analytical data skills, hands-on

Qualifications

10+ years of software development and design experience.
7+ years developing enterprise applications and services using Java and related technologies.
Experience with SQL is needed.
Hands-on multi-threaded programming experience.
Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies.
Proactive, agile and able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
Experience in an AWS environment is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of developers and QA engineers to deliver quality products in Enterprise Data Services.
Lead projects independently as a strong technology leader.
Balance development (50%) with architecture and leadership (50%).
Collaborate with business, project managers, analysts and other engineers to review requirements and test plans.
Design, prototype and implement software components optimized for performance.
Ensure code quality standards and proper release documentation.
Build and maintain client relationships and guide prioritization.
