Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a passionate Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data platforms across cloud and on‑prem. You will enable analytics through BI tools, AI accelerators, and self‑service capabilities, reporting to the Data Engineering Sr Manager.

You’ll lead IaC, data lakes, data warehouses, and ML workloads using Terraform, AWS CDK, and Databricks, driving security, governance, and cost efficiency while mentoring teams and advancing enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, CS, Engineering, or related field, or 7+ years of experience.
• 7+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise data platforms and AI workloads.
• Strong IaC, cloud automation, and platform engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimize enterprise analytics platforms for BI tools and AI-powered insights.
• Lead design and improvement of scalable data lakes, warehouses, AI workloads with IaC.
• Automate provisioning, governance, and lifecycle management of cloud services.
• Build CI/CD and MLOps pipelines for data products and models.
• Support large-scale data engineering with Spark, Python, Databricks.
• Collaborate on platform architecture, governance, and roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership and promote best practices across teams.
