Job summary

Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Data Platform Engineering is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build, enhance and support scalable data platform capabilities. The role focuses on data services, APIs, and automation using Snowflake, AWS, Python, and modern DevOps practices.

You will collaborate with architects, software engineers, data engineers, and business partners to deliver secure, maintainable, and high-performing platform solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in software/data/platform engineering.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support data platform components, services, and integrations using Python.
• Build and maintain data workflows, data services, and platform utilities in Snowflake and AWS environments.
• Design and implement APIs that support data access, service integration, and platform interoperability.
• Contribute to microservices-based solutions and support orchestration across services.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes to support containerized deployment and runtime operations.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable platform solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, data, integration, and infrastructure issues across the platform stack.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and documentation updates.
• Follow engineering standards, security practices, and operational best practices.
• Support production readiness, monitoring, and incident resolution for platform services.
• Help improve platform reliability and performance through incremental enhancements.
