Job summary

Global Alliant, Inc. is seeking a Data Lead Architect to drive data strategy, design scalable pipelines, and ensure HIPAA/CMS regulatory compliance across enterprise data platforms.

The role focuses on transitioning from legacy systems to modern cloud-enabled architectures, building a Medallion Architecture Data Lakehouse with Bronze/Silver/Gold layers on AWS, and developing EDW with Iceberg or Delta Lake while aligning with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ten years of IT experience with seven in data engineering or cloud data architecture.
• Two years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience with healthcare data standards and interoperability (EDI X12, FHIR, HL7).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in scalable data pipelines.
• Architect and implement a Medallion Architecture-based Data Lakehouse.
• Design and develop an EDW on cloud platforms (AWS) using Iceberg or Delta Lake.
• Build Dimensional Data Models using Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Develop ETL/ELT workflows with AWS Glue, Spark, Databricks, and Airflow.
• Ensure HIPAA/CMS compliance via governance, lineage, access controls and encryption.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with goals.
