Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics seeks a Senior Data Governance Engineer to manage the data dictionary, metadata, and governance standards across Databricks and AWS. You will drive platform provisioning, access controls, and AI-enabled data discovery while mentoring teammates and shaping scalable governance.

Responsibilities include building data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and aligning with security and FinOps practices.

Qualifications

5+ years in data governance, data management, analytics engineering, or data platform work.
3+ years administering cloud data platforms on AWS (IAM, S3, networking, security).
3+ years with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Delta Lake.
3+ years developing or maintaining data dictionaries, catalogs, glossary, lineage.
1+ year using AI/GenAI tools like Databricks Genie (preferred).

Responsibilities

Own the enterprise data dictionary, metadata, and lineage development and maintenance.
Administer Databricks workspace, Unity Catalog, catalogs, schemas, and access provisioning; manage AWS environment.
Use AI-enabled data tooling to improve discovery, analytics, and documentation.
Build and maintain data pipelines and transformations in Databricks with SQL/PySpark; automate tasks with Terraform.
Provide technical leadership, mentor teammates, and help define governance standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
The wage range for this position is $118,330-$177,490 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
