Job summary

TAIT is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build and operate a governed data platform on Databricks with AWS. You will design pipelines, models, and data products to enable analytics, forecasting, optimization, and AI/ML use cases.

You will partner with Data Architect, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure trusted data, scalable solutions, and strong governance across ERP, CRM, and other data sources.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
Proven track record delivering production-grade Databricks solutions on AWS.
Experience building end-to-end data products and analytics capable of AI/ML use cases.

Responsibilities

Own engineering work from discovery through production support and continuous improvement.
Explain technical tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, incident reviews, and architecture forums.
Collaborate with global teams, nearshore/offshore partners, and vendors while maintaining engineering accountability.
Mentor junior engineers and help build a data-engineering discipline within TAIT.
