Job summary

8th Light is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to drive client engagements, shape data models, and build robust pipelines across varied tech stacks. You’ll own data layer design, mentor teammates, and collaborate with client executives to align solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare data and interoperability practices.
• Proficient with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps workflows.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and IaC tooling.
• Familiarity with real-time data streaming systems.
• Hands-on containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud platform certifications enhance candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Make immediate contributions to projects and build client trust.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines and schemas.
• Lead data architecture and modeling discussions.
• Balance technology choices while delivering quality work on deadlines.
• Generate solutions to technical and non‑technical challenges.
• Lead retrospectives and feedback conversations with teams and clients.
• Document outcomes and drive action items forward.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to 8th Light's culture.
