Job summary

Akaasa Technologies is seeking a Lead Data Engineer who can drive a cloud-first data platform. This role combines deep Databricks on Azure with leadership across multiple teams, clear stakeholder communication, and active mentoring of engineers.

You will guide architectural decisions, anticipate problems before they arise, and push forward AI/ML initiatives. Hands-on capability is valued, along with a track record in cloud-focused delivery; healthcare analytics experience is a plus.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data engineering or leading data teams.
3–5+ years in cloud lead positions.
Strong communication is essential for leading across teams and with stakeholders.
Mentor team members and drive technical excellence across projects.
Certified in Databricks and Azure is a big plus.
Databricks and Azure are the core tech stack.
Interest or experience in AI/ML initiatives is valued.
Experience with cloud-only, multi-team projects across healthcare contexts is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead across multiple teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
Mentor engineers and promote best practices across data platforms.
Anticipate problems and drive proactive resolution for cloud data projects.
Contribute to architecture decisions and guide Databricks/Azure-based solutions.
