Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive our data and analytics strategy in a fast-paced homebuilding environment. You will design and operationalize data platforms, lead a Product Team, and empower business users with self-service data and AI-enabled tooling, leveraging Python, AWS, Snowflake, and dbt.

Responsibilities include building production-grade pipelines, enforcing data quality, fostering collaboration with data science, and ensuring robust CI/CD and platform observability.

Qualifications

• Advanced data warehousing concepts and multi-layer designs (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Designing complex data pipelines with robust standardization.
• Rigorous code reviews, end-to-end testing, and resilient error handling.

Responsibilities

• Formulate production-grade data engineering solutions for Lennar’s data platforms.
• Architect and implement reliable ETL/ELT and streaming ingestion processes.
• Develop, maintain, and containerize data applications using Python in cloud infrastructure.
• Improve data ingestion architecture with emphasis on quality, cost-performance, and maintainability.
• Define and implement engineering standards for the data team and CI/CD workflows.
• Instrument platforms with metrics and automated monitoring for high availability.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and optimize queries.
• Collaborate with data science teams to support Generative AI applications and RAG.
• Integrate data from disparate production systems for end-to-end data products.
• Align technical development with core business objectives.
