Job summary

NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORP Mobility Information seeks a Lead Analyst – Database Support to manage SQL databases, data pipelines, and dashboards for financial and operational data. You will develop data models and reporting logic, ensuring accuracy and timely insights for business decisions across NYSEG and RG&E contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience analyzing large data from various sources and platforms.
• Understanding of SQL programming and database fundamentals, including multidimensional and relational design.
• Ability to create and maintain applications using Microsoft .NET.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel.
• Ability to learn and configure new applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document SQL databases, data models, data structures, code, queries, and dashboards for financial and operational needs.
• Design, deploy, and support database solutions and reporting platforms to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor performance to ensure data availability and timely reporting.
• Maintain dashboards and data visualization tools translating outputs into actionable insights.
• Ensure data outputs align with business rules and reporting requirements.
• Build datasets, reports, and ad hoc analyses tailored to leadership priorities.
• Gather requirements and align data infrastructure with decision-making needs.
• Support timely processing and reporting of critical financial data.
• Coordinate with database admins, IT teams, vendors, and auditors to resolve needs.
• Evaluate new applications and visualization solutions for business value.
