**Job Title: Lead Analyst – Database Support****Location:** Rochester, NY (3 City Center). Elmira, NY; Ithaca, NY; Lancaster, NY; Binghamton, NY; Plattsburgh, NY; Oneonta, NY.**Work type:** Office (on-site) The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from **$106,000** to **$132,500.****Job Summary**This role focuses on efficiently processing, analyzing, and visualizing financial and operational data for NYSEG and RG&E, developing and maintaining SQL databases, data‐processing applications, reporting tools, and dashboard solutions. It ensures data is accurate, reliable, accessible, and translated into clear reporting that supports timely business decisions. The position also works closely with business users, leaders, database administrators, IT teams, vendors, and other technical partners to align data systems and reporting with operational and financial needs.**Responsibilities:*** Develop and document SQL databases, data models, related data structures, code, queries, automated processes, dashboards, and reporting logic to support financial, operational, and reporting needs.* Design, build, test, deploy, and support database solutions, application enhancements, automated data processes, dashboards, and reporting platforms that improve efficiency, reliability, scalability, usability, and transparency.* Monitor database and application performance to support uninterrupted service, data availability, and timely reporting for supported business areas.* Maintain dashboards, reporting platforms, and data visualization tools that translate database outputs into actionable insights for business users and leadership.* Ensure dashboards, reporting tools, source data, reporting logic, and outputs are accurate, current, complete, and aligned with business rules, database structures, and reporting requirements.* Build datasets, recurring reports, management dashboards, ad hoc analyses, and data products tailored to evolving business priorities, leadership requests, and performance management needs.* Partner with business users and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, validate data sources, define dashboard needs, and align data infrastructure, applications, and report products with operational and financial decision-making needs.* Support the timely processing, payment, reporting, and analysis of critical financial data through accurate source data, reporting logic, dashboard outputs, and data availability.* Coordinate with Avangrid database administrators, IT teams, vendors, auditors, and other technical resources to resolve database, application, reporting, dashboard, extraction, documentation, and validation needs.* Evaluate new applications, reporting platforms, and data visualization solutions by understanding department needs and recommending practical databases, application, and reporting solutions. **Required Qualifications:****Education & Experience Required:*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, data analytics, finance, business analytics, or a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience.* Proficiency analyzing large volumes of data from various sources and platforms.* Understanding of SQL programming and database fundamentals, including multidimensional and relational database design.* Ability to create applications from scratch and maintain existing applications using Microsoft .NET.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.* Ability to learn and configure new applications.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization and dashboarding tools.**Behavioral Competencies:*** Growth & Continuous Improvement* Initiative & Change* Focused on Results* Customer Centric (internal and/or external)* Communication* Collaboration* Leadership (people managers/leaders)
