Job summary

NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORP is seeking a Lead Analyst – Database Support in Rochester, NY to efficiently process, analyze, and visualize financial and operational data for NYSEG and RG&E. You will develop and maintain SQL databases, data-processing applications, and reporting tools, translating data into clear reporting to support timely business decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years of relevant experience.
Experience analyzing large volumes of data from multiple sources.
Understanding of SQL programming and database fundamentals (multidimensional/relational).
Ability to create applications from scratch and maintain existing apps using .NET.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced).
Ability to learn and configure new applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and document SQL databases, data models, and reporting logic to support financial, operational, and reporting needs.
Design, build, test, deploy, and support database solutions, dashboards, and reporting platforms.
Monitor database and application performance to ensure data availability and timely reporting.
Maintain dashboards and data visualization tools for actionable insights for leadership.
Ensure dashboards and reporting outputs are accurate and aligned with business rules.
Build datasets, recurring reports, and ad hoc analyses for evolving priorities.
