Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Program Manager for our data center initiatives in California. You will lead planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and cross-functional coordination to ensure on-time delivery across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

The role requires a strong track record in data center programs, financial controls, and executive reporting, with a focus on delivering predictable results and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years in program management, with 5+ years in data center program management or related roles.
• 3+ years with financial controls, project controls in data centers or mission-critical environments.
• Experience managing estimation workflows and cost management platforms.
• Strong skills in developing schedules, cost trackers, and risk registers.
• Proficiency with SAP and Oracle for financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and executive reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project schedules, milestone trackers, cost trackers, and action item logs for assigned DCBBS projects
• Support end-to-end planning activities across proposal, SOW development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases
• Track and manage project risks, open decisions, long-lead items, and cross-functional dependencies with clear owners, due dates, and escalation paths
• Provide regular, clear status reporting on cost, schedule, risks, and progress to leadership, engineering teams, and customer-facing stakeholders
• Develop and maintain repeatable planning templates, cost tracking formats, execution playbooks, and governance processes for consistent DCBBS project delivery
• Coordinate with internal engineering, supply chain, construction, and external vendors/partners to align plans, resolve dependencies, and drive execution discipline
• Identify and communicate cost and schedule variances, risks, and decision points early, supporting proactive mitigation and stakeholder alignment
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of planning, cost management, and execution processes to enhance delivery predictability and scalability.
