Job summary

T5 Data Centers is seeking a Senior Critical Facilities Technician to oversee critical and non-critical data center infrastructure. This role emphasizes leadership, hands-on maintenance, and ongoing training of junior technicians within a 24x7 operation.

The Sr. CFT will collaborate with the Facilities team to ensure 100% uptime, safety compliance, and adherence to company standards while mentoring peers and establishing best practices in CMMS usage and documentation.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in data center or critical facilities environments.
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure equipment and systems.
• Assist the CFM/ACFM to lead the CFT team to deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks.
• Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls.
• Provide training and expertise for using the CMMS to manage all planned and unplanned data center work.
• Assist with preventive maintenance inspections on data center electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and execute electrical and mechanical corrective issues with clear communication.
• Troubleshoot and document technical issues, escalate as needed, ensure complete resolution.
• Respond to emergencies and critical issues and support a team approach.
• Participate in developing and executing operating procedures.
