Job summary

T5 Data Centers is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician (CFT) to support operations of the data center infrastructure and systems. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement within an enterprise-scale environment.

You will work as part of a team to ensure 100% uptime, monitor power and cooling, and follow standardized procedures and change controls while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school degree required.
• Electrical or mechanical license preferred.
• Prior military or technical school training preferred.
• 5+ years experience in Mission Critical Environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
• Work with a team of CFTs to deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks.
• Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls.
• Utilize a CMMS to manage all planned and unplanned data center work.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Assist with development and execution of operating procedures and PM inspections.
• Assist with data center standards and policies as needed.
• Resolve electrical and mechanical issues promptly and communicate issues up the chain of command.
• Respond to emergencies and critical issues and work independently or as a team.
• Troubleshoot and document technical issues and ensure resolution.
• Assist with planning on corrective issues and installations of T5 services.
• Maintain facility data including rounds, PM work orders, and change management.
• Follow change control activities and manage workflow tasks for timely turnaround.
• Escort outside contractors and ensure compliance with safety rules.
• Complete facility rounds at shift start to ensure upkeep.
• Participate in facility training and operations as required.
