Job summary

GCON Management Company LLC is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to oversee high-tech data center and commercial fit-outs on a site-based role in the Austin area. You will serve as the onsite point person and responsible for day-to-day operations, safety, and communication with owners, trades, and internal teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7+ years of site management experience on ground-up projects, strong knowledge of LPS/lean construction, and proficiency with P6 scheduling.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of relevant site management on ground-up commercial/data center projects
• 3+ years leading/building for high-tech clients/program administration/owner's rep experience
• Experience with design of building systems for data centers and mission-critical projects

Responsibilities

• Oversee program build-out for high-tech client office and datacenter fit-outs
• Contribute to preconstruction: buyout, logistics, scheduling
• Prepare operational plans and collaborate with BD on sales pursuits and presentations
• Communicate project plan success factors and implementation strategies
• Reconcile WIP with trade contractors' SOV and submit payment requisitions
• Understand the Profit Plan and project financial forecast
• Conduct jobsite lean and LPS boot camps
• Establish weekly LPS and continuous improvement cadence with staff and trade partners
• Innovate and solve core/shell construction challenges with project team
• Conduct constructability reviews and ensure effective QC program
• Create and assess WWP and PTP for continuous improvement opportunities
• Execute EH&S policies and ensure Injury Free Environments and safety training needs
