Job summary

bp is seeking a Lead Development Systems Engineer to act as the senior technical authority for the Corporate Land team, shaping architecture, roadmap, and engineering standards for scalable automation, data, and AI-enabled solutions.

This individual contributor blends hands-on engineering with influence to lead complex work across boundaries, mentoring engineers and partnering with security, data, and business teams to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development, data engineering, or analytics leadership.
• Led architecture and end-to-end delivery of complex data/software solutions.
• Advanced Python and SQL with clean, tested code.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir and data modeling.
• Strong CI/CD, observability, security, and lifecycle practices.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and solutions architect for Corporate Land.
• Own end-to-end delivery for automation, data, analytics, and AI products.
• Design data pipelines and analytics applications using Snowflake, Databricks, Palantir.
• Establish standards for code quality, testing, security, and observability.
• Build a prioritized technical roadmap aligned with strategy.
• Mentor engineers and cross-functional teams through reviews.
