BP plc's bpx energy unit is seeking a Lead Development Systems Engineer for a hybrid US role. You will bridge operations and technical delivery to shape architecture, data, and AI-enabled solutions for Corporate Land, delivering scalable products end-to-end.

You will lead multi-team efforts, design data pipelines, and set reusable standards. Requires 10+ years, Python/SQL, and cloud proficiency with strong stakeholder influence.

Qualifications

10+ years in software development, data engineering, automation, or related field.
Experience leading architecture and end-to-end delivery of complex data/software solutions.
Proficiency in Python and SQL with well-tested code.
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks or Palantir for data modeling and performance.
Knowledge of CI/CD, observability, security, and SDLC practices.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead and solutions architect for Corporate Land.
Own end-to-end delivery for automation, data, analytics, and AI-enabled products.
Design and guide data pipelines, applications, and analytics products.
Establish reusable engineering standards and quality controls.
Mentor engineers and analysts through reviews and coaching.
Monitor performance, adoption, and cost; drive tech debt reduction.
